Based in Te Awamutu, Aotearoa Margaret has been an active agent in the community and Arts sector for over a decade as a curator, artist and advocate. She has been exhibiting work consistently exhibiting in solo and group shows in Aotearoa and the Pacific. She has presented her research and work in Hawaii, U.K and Fiji and more recently exhibited as an international artist with a show called “A maternal Lens” at the Casablanca Biennale, Morocco, 2018 with 4 other female artists from the Pacific.

Obtaining her Masters of Fine Arts with Whitecliffe School of Art and design in 2014 she became more interested in installation works alongside her painting practice. She was appointed to the Māori Visual Arts Committee Te Ātinga for Toi Māori in 2016.
